What to Report
The following are common reasons to write to us:
- Metadata corrections — incorrect title, author, publication date, or category placement (for example, a work listed under “Crime, Mystery & Investigation” that belongs elsewhere, or a title in the “Nations, Peoples & the Past” series that has been misattributed).
- File or reader failures — a file that cannot be downloaded, fails to open on a particular device or browser, or displays garbled text, missing images, or broken formatting.
- Accessibility problems — issues with screen-reader compatibility, missing alt text, or poor contrast that makes reading difficult.
- Privacy questions — inquiries about how we handle personal data or requests related to your own information.
- Copyright or rights concerns — if you believe a work in our catalogue is not in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights and wish to discuss a listing.
- General editorial observations — suggestions for new categories, additional context for a title (such as the “Reading Notes” or “Themes and Context” series), or other improvements.
How to Send a Useful Report
To help us address your message quickly, please include as many of the following details as are relevant:
- The exact page URL where the issue appears.
- The full ebook title and, if applicable, the series name (e.g., “A Reader’s Guide” or “Context and Discussion”). For example, if you are reporting an error in Studies in history and jurisprudence, volume 2 (of 2) — Edition Insights, please mention the series note.
- The file format involved (EPUB, PDF, Kindle, plain text, etc.).
- The device, operating system, and browser or reading application you were using.
- A clear description of the problem — what you expected to happen and what actually occurred.
- If the issue involves copyright or rights, any supporting information you can provide about the work’s legal status in your country. For instance, if you believe Considerations on the Negroe cause commonly so called may be under copyright in a particular jurisdiction, please indicate that.
